The Forum SwimFIT squad is a group of like-minded people who are into swimming for social, fitness and competitive reasons. There is something for everyone as the primary focus is to enjoy every minute of the session.
Whether you are a former swimmer looking to stay in shape, or you are a newbie to the sport, here are a few reasons that you should join our SwimFIT squad.
1. The social perks
Swimming can be therapeutic and your time to decompress from everything else that is going on in your life. SwimFIT will not only help you get in shape but is also a social and networking setting.
2. Be as competitive as you want to be
SwimFIT has a place for those who want to be competitive as well as those who are happy cruising along and doing their own thing.
Delivered by our Head Coach, you will receive top level coaching during your sessions.
3. A scheduled training program
Working out on your own isn’t easy. Having a set schedule for you to follow under the guidance of a Head Coach makes getting something out of your workout so much easier.
With a coach on deck who can critique technique and give feedback in order to improve you can greatly speed up your rate of improvement.
Our coaches write up the session for you which means you can follow the workout instead of having to depend on your will power and motivation that day to push yourself.
5. Dedicated pool space
An opportunity for you to not have to worry about lane etiquette with lap swimmers of varying ability. Swimmers are grouped up by ability and speed, and all *generally* understand and follow lane etiquette.
6. It’ll get you in shape
Getting in the pool for a few hours a week will get you in better shape.
Swimming is excellent aerobic and resistance training, giving you a full body workout without having to log a tonne of hours in the gym.
Aqua fitness classes are a great way to mix up a traditional gym workout with the wondrous benefits of water. It only takes a few AquaFIT sessions and you’ll see a big difference in your overall fitness.
Typical classes will involve all the exercises you would expect in a ‘dry’ class. But there are added bonuses when you exercise in water. You will get a great all-over workout. You’ll also use new equipment like aqua dumbbells, kickboards and hydro discs.
