Gym Instructor / Member Relations Consultant

A rare opportunity has become available to join the Gym and Member Relations teams on a casual basis.

With a key focus on customer service and supporting our large member base, this role is ideal for a fitness and customer service enthusiast who can inspire the best in others!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming all member and guests into our world class facility.
  • Acting as the first port of call for enquiries, both in person, phone or email.
  • Supervision of Gym patrons, members and guests and ensuring a safe and clean gym environment.
  • Delivery of the Skillathletic group training program on the gym floor.
  • Introduce new members to the gym and instruct on how to use all equipment properly to achieve their fitness goals.
  • Ensure Members and Guests enjoy a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Essential Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Certificate III & IV in Fitness
  • Current Fitness Australia Registration
  • Valid NSW Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate
  • Ability to work varied hours and shifts (7 days per week, between 5.15am – 10.00pm) across both Callaghan and Honeysuckle locations.

Member Relations Consultant

This is a pivotal role in ensuring all members and guests receive first class customer service. As a Member Relations Consultant, your typical day will involve:

  • Welcoming all member and guests into our world class facility
  • Ensuring all members and guests are aware of what our facility has to offer and how we can support them achieve their fitness goals
  • Acting as the first port of call for enquiries, both in person, phone or email
  • Engaging new members, encouraging current members and welcoming back previous members.

Our current opportunity is for consistent weekly hours made of a mixture of mornings, evenings and weekend work. Our venues are open 5.30am – 10.00pm Monday to Friday and 7.00am – 9.00pm weekends.

Essential Selection Criteria:

  • A positive personality and a welcoming smile
  • Adaptability and multi tasking skills
  • Excellent customer engagement skills
  • Previous experience in a customer facing position, ideally in the recreation and fitness industry
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to multi task in a busy customer service focused environment
  • Close attention to detail
  • Previous sales experience
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate.

Essential Selection Criteria

Successful applicants must have past experience officiating games, ideally for a senior competition.

  • Relevant Referee / Umpire qualifications.
  • Current First Aid - HLTAID003 and CPR - HLTAID001 (requirement for NUsport employment).
