We are excited to let you know that The Forum University Gym will be undergoing extensive refurbishment works in February 2019 requiring:

A temporary closure period of the Gym being, Tuesday 29 January – Sunday 17 February 2019 inclusive.

The Gym at The Forum University will be re-opening at normal trading hours on Monday 18 February 2019.

NUsport / The Forum have a commitment to give back to our members and continue to provide quality facilities. This is an exciting time as we upgrade our gym at The Forum University to the latest in fitness equipment and technology while we continue to provide a fresh and contemporary facility.

Why are the works taking place?

NUsport / The Forum have a commitment to give back to its members by providing quality facilities.

What changes will take place?

  • Installation of the latest in cardio equipment from Technogym.
  • Installation of the latest in strength equipment from Life Fitness.
  • New gym floor layout, including large functional training zone.
  • The first club in Australia to launch Technogym's “Skill Athletic” training program.
  • Introduction of a brand new mobile app to help you track your health and wellness goals.
  • New flooring throughout the existing gym and cardio areas.
  • General maintenance including electrical and painting works.

Will there be new equipment?

Yes, the Gym at The Forum University will be installing the latest in cardio equipment from Technogym and strength equipment from Life Fitness.

When will the works take place?

There will be a temporary closure of the Gym only being for the period Tuesday 29 January – Sunday 17 February 2019 inclusive. The Gym will re-open at normal trading hours on Monday 18 February 2019.

Will there be impact on members?

Apart from the closure period as outlined above, you may see some minor restrictions to some areas prior and post the closure period but we aim to have minimal disruption to members and their normal workouts.

All other facilities and programs at The Forum University will operate as normal during the Gym closure period, including Group Fitness (RPM will be relocated to Studio 2), Aquatics and indoor courts.

What alternatives are available to gym members during the closure period?

Members will be able to use The Forum Harbourside at no cost during the period of closure.

I don’t want to use The Forum Harbourside during the gym closure, what can I do?

There will be plenty of Group Fitness classes available during this period. Talk to the Gym and Member Relations team to recommend the best program for you.

We are more than happy to place your membership on timestop during the closure period. Our Member Relations team at Reception can organise this for you. Please ensure you submit your timestop request no later than Sunday 20 January 2019.
