Frequently asked questions
Matches will be scheduled at the times listed below. All efforts are made to achieve an even allocation of early and late games for all teams.
During semester, competitions will comprise three or four separate divisions (Division 1 being the highest). Teams are given a provisional grading at the start of the season and all reasonable effort will be made to ensure your team is adequately graded. From time to time, divisions may need to be combined to provide appropriately sized competitions. In this case you may experience some games being played against teams with either more or less experience than your own.
Summer competitions are generally a little smaller than those during semester time and competitions will be graded into divisions appropriate to the registrations received (usually two or three divisions).
Yes you can. We will do our best to find a team for you but keep in mind our competitions are quite full and this may not always be possible. We do keep a reserves list so captains can contact you if they require extra players or casual fill-ins. Simply indicate on your registration that you are happy for your contact details to be accessed by team captains.
Each season’s draws will be published online here. You can also access them on your mobile device via The Forum’s mobile friendly website – simply tap ‘Sport Comp Draws’ at the bottom right of screen.
Players are advised that personal accident cover is not provided by The Forum. Current students of the University of Newcastle are subject to the University's Student Personal Accident Policy. It is recommended that all players take out private personal accident / injury cover prior to participating in these competitions.
