There are plenty of ways for University students to get involved in sport.
The Forum hosts the College sport program, where the University's residential colleges can compete against one another in a wide range of sports. Students may also join one of the University's sporting clubs. The clubs always welcome new players regardless of experience. University students are also provided with opportunity to participate in the Australian University Games and Eastern University Games. And don't forget there are six days of social sport competitions during semester.
NUsport gratefully acknowledges the support provided by Australian University Sport for these university sport programs through the AUS National Funding Program.
The Forum is proud to host the College sport competition. The College sport competition exists to encourage positive interaction between the residents of the colleges of the University of Newcastle.
Each College (Edwards Hall, Evatt House, International House and Barahineban) is given the opportunity to participate in a variety of sporting events (for which they are awarded points). At the end of the year, the College gaining the highest aggregate of points in these competitions will be the College Champion.
