NUsport has a fantastic range of sport programs and activities for you.We offer a range of Social Sport competitions.

NUsport also plays a major role in university representative sport, sending teams to the Eastern University Games and Australian University Games each year.

If you're a student living on campus, why not become involved in the Intercollegiate sport program and compete against the other colleges?

Want to join a social sport competition at The Forum? Choose from Basketball, Indoor Netball, Indoor Soccer, Tennis, Squash and Touch Football.

The University of Newcastle established sport scholarships to encourage and support students with demonstrated sporting ability and potential contribution to the sporting achievements of the University.

The Forum is proud to host the College Sport competition. The College Sport competition exists to encourage positive interaction between the residents of the colleges of the University of Newcastle. Each College is given the opportunity to participate in a variety of sporting events (for which they are awarded points).  At the end of the year, the College gaining the highest aggregate of points in these competitions will be the College Champion.

NUsport offers a wide variety of sporting clubs from Badminton to Rugby. Clubs involved in local or district competitions are registering NOW!  Don't wait for semester to start or you might miss out.

Australian University Sport (AUS) is the governing body for university sport in Australia. Each year AUS supports University of Newcastle students to compete in the Eastern University Games and the Australian University Games. NUsport gratefully acknowledges the support provided by Australian University Sport through the AUS National Funding Program.

The University of Newcastle, as a member of the Elite Athlete Friendly University (EAFU) program, is committed to supporting your endeavours to combine study and maintain your elite athlete status and will do what it can to assist you achieve both your sporting and academic goals.  Of course it is recognised that academic standards must be and will be strictly applied.
