The Forum has been named as part of a network working with the Federal Government to combat chronic disease for people with, and at risk of, Type 2 Diabetes.


The Forum provides access to health & fitness programs that are designed to:

  • Improve flexibility, balance and posture.
  • Improve mood and increase energy.

Facts:


  • In 2007, 83% of all premature deaths were from chronic disease.
  • Premature mortality is nearly twice as likely in disadvantaged males.
  • Premature mortality is 60% higher among the most disadvantaged females.
  • Of all premature chronic disease deaths in 2007, three in five were potentially avoidable.
